Why can't I verify my number while signing up?

Ringo will send you an OTP (one time password) as an SMS (text message) on your registered Ringo number. This process may fail in the following circumstances:

  • Your phone isn't connected to a local carrier network. Since Ringo sends you an SMS with the code to verify your account, you will need an active carrier network connection to receive this SMS.
  • Since we use multiple SMS providers, it could just be that one of them wasn't able to get the SMS through. All you need to do is hit 'Resend Code' and we will use another SMS provider to send you the SMS within seconds.
